Olympic trials next month for 22-year-old CIS champion

When it comes to putting up results on the track, Matt Walters has been bang on in 2012.

If he can keep things rolling as the summer outdoor season approaches, Walters might just be representing Canada at this summer’s London Olympics.

The 22-year-old University of Windsor student, fresh off a double-gold performance in the 1,500- and 3,000-metre events at the CIS track and field championships in March, is back in North Bay for a two-week stay as training picks up for the outdoor season.
