The East Northumberland Blue Dragons Cross Country team travelled south of the border to compete in the prestigious McQuaid Invitational Cross Country meet this weekend. Over 7000 runners in 25 races run in terribly muddy, sloppy conditions did not deter the Blue Dragons, who showed their usual great character!
Taylor Goodyear was 4th in the Junior high race to have the best individual performance of the day for the Blue Dragons. He led much of the race, falling back to 4th , retaking the lead before going back to 4th at the finish. It was an impressive performance for the grade 9 runner from ENSS. His effort was not the only stellar performance as his teammates Spencer Hayward ( 15th ) , Braden Rumpel ( 19th), Quin Dibbits ( 31st) and Darion Sweet were 6th in the team standings.
