As Priscilla Lopes-Schliep relaxes on the sofa in her immaculate downtown condo, somebody’s trying to get her attention.
A few swift kicks from the inside do the trick.
“She’s really busy, moving around all the time,” the Olympic bronze medal-winning hurdler said of her first baby, a girl, due Sept. 20. “My mom said ‘Watch, you see what’s going to happen.’ When I was a baby, they had to take a first-aid kit everywhere because I was just a wild child.”
With all her teammates flying to Daegu, South Korea, this week for the world track and field championships, Lopes-Schliep also has her bag packed — but for an entirely different reason.
