Five of the Pirates' fastest senior boys sprinters are looking to finish off the year with a medal at the all-Ontario high school track and field championships. The Pirates worked their way towards that target by establishing two new relay records at the EOSSAA championships that finished at TISS on Friday. The senior boys 4x100 team of Dylan Burns, Trent Corney, Chris Cauley and Alex Bahm set an EOSSAA record with a time of 43.05 seconds, breaking the old record by one-fifth of a second. Then, in the open boys 4x400 metre relay, with Robbie Deeks running a fast first leg, Bahm, Cauley and Corney then ran a 3:22.22, breaking the old mark by almost four seconds.
